More than 1,000 students have been named to the Carthage College dean's list for the fall 2018 semester.

The beginning of a new school year looks different each year. It can include moving into a new dorm room, wayfinding through campus or scoping out the best spots for future study sessions. For more than 2,000 Belmont University freshmen and transfer students, this year's new school year included all these things and a special opportunity to serve their community. During the Towering Traditions orientation program, new Bruins spend an afternoon traveling to 26 locations across the greater Nashville area for service. The event, called SERVE, allows students to immerse themselves in their new hometown.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams enter the 2018-19 season under first-year head coach Elise Knoche looking to continue their progression toward building a perennial conference contender.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team claimed its second straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship Sunday, winning the three-day, 54-hole conference tournament by 12 strokes.

Belmont University kicked off classes for its fall 2018 semester with a record-breaking enrollment number as the University welcomed 8,318 students to campus, nearly triple the enrollment in 2000 and marking a 65 percent increase in the last decade alone. This marks Belmont's 18th consecutive year of record enrollment.

Ohio Wesleyan University has selected 16 students as 2018-2019 Education Fellows. The four-year fellowships are awarded each fall by Ohio Wesleyan's Department of Education to first-year students with a high potential for success at the university and a stated interest in teaching at the pre-school, elementary, middle or high school level. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater golf team begins its quest toward an unprecedented second straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship this weekend with its entire lineup from a record-breaking 2017-18 season intact.

Lawrence University has recognized 732 students for academic achievement by naming them to the 2017-18 dean's list. Students must maintain a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the entire academic year to qualify for dean's list honors.

A total of 346 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student-athletes representing all 20 of the institution's varsity sport programs were named to the 2017-18 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honor Roll.

Lawrence University awarded bachelor of arts and bachelor of music degrees June 10 to 318 graduating seniors, 17 of whom earned both a B.A. and a B.M. degree, at its 169 commencement. Peggy Shepard, the executive director of the New York City-based organization WE ACT For Environmental Justice, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree and delivered the principal commencement address.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2018 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction.

Any full-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for 12 or more graded hours or part-time student who achieves a GPA of at least 3.6 for six or more graded hours in the fall or spring semester will be placed on the Dean's List.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Miami University Students Study Abroad Spring 2018 Semester

Muhlenberg College celebrated its 170th Commencement on May 18, 2018. During the ceremony, which was held on the College Green, 511 students were awarded their undergraduate degrees.

More than 550 students graduated from Carthage College between December 2017 and May 2018.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Some 3,072 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address.

Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2018 Semester

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's golf team hopes it can repeat the storybook ending to its fall season, which included a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship, this week at the NCAA Division III Championships, which run this Tuesday through Friday.

In fact, 52.4% of our graduates from the Class of 2017 studied abroad during their college career. The College supports four discipline-specific study abroad opportunities as well as offering over 100 approved programs in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa.

The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.
